The psychology of the self is the underlying guiding theory I use to talk about my speaking topics. Self esteem, what erodes it, how to maintain and how to build it are critical when you are talking about money, parenting or marriage. How to develop empathy for yourself and those with whom you may be in conflict is key to maintaining healthy and meaningful relationships.

Knowing who you are as a person and how your children perceive you are critical issues in parenting. Creating an empathic household, learning how to set limits boundaries, and how to help children succeed in finding passion and a direction in their lives are key goals for “good enough” parenting.

The psychology of money is regularly ignored; but it affects how people spend, save and invest money. It also affects marriages and children. When people better understand their deeply held attitudes about money, they are more likely to use it effectively. If these attitudes are not acknowledged and understood, behavior such as overspending, hoarding, and poor judgement decisions in investing can result, along with a chronic sense of never having enough money.
